Blast Protection V2 has finally been released and all major systems have been revamped and improved. V1 was made almost 1.5 years ago and used outdated detection technology that wasn’t going to cut it in 2026. What’s also new in V2 is that all major bugs have been patched, there’s been a branding redesign and Blast Protection is over 200% faster and more accurate.
What’s new in a nutshell:
- Setup Wizard has severely improved and now comes with several presets to choose from
- All settings which were previously accessed with their own command, such as /flag-amounts and /thresholds are now all put in the /settings menu.
- Anti Raid has been completely recoded from scratch and performs faster and more accurately now
- Duel moderating is now less likely / not likely to occur
- Flag lag has been removed
- The Join Gate module has been revamped from the ground up, and has added several features
- New to Join Gate: User sanitizing now occurs whenever someone’s profile looks suspicious (unicode characters, account created too recently, known scam keywords etc.)
- Join Gate now runs on it’s own and there’s not setup required
- Verification module has been integrated into Join Gate’s sanitization
- Beast Mode has been added
- Anti Spam has been added
- Automoderator has been limited to only Beast Mode
- Invite Link Filter has been removed
- Audit Logging has been added to keep track of what Blast Protection is monitoring
- A reputation menu can now be accessed using /reputation
New feature: Beast Mode
Beast Mode has been added to Blast Protection V2.0.0 and automatically activates during raids. During beast mode, flags are doubled and a very strict automoderator (blocking headers, pings, links, attachments) has been turned on. Beast Mode is designed to calm your server down during a raid and block threats quicker during an active raid. When automatically activated, Beast Mode lasts 30 minutes, but can also be manually turned on or off using /beastmode.
Bugs & Testing
Blast Protection V2.0.0 has been tested for multiple weeks, and all major bugs were patched. However, it’s definitely not bugless. Kindly report bugs using /bug. All bugs that are present in V2 are small bugs which are not a threat to the main systems. If you’re really kind you’d even turn on data sharing in settings so Blast Protection can use some of your server logs to fix bugs easier.
What to expect next:
The upcoming drops will likely be very small patchnotes, or new features which were already planned since V1, like:
- Custom notifications center
- Routines using timed events
- Custom message replies and embed colors
That’s all for this drop, thank you for using Blast Protection!
